News from North Idaho
Take Charge Program
Kim Huender, Epilepsy Services Specialist in Coeur d’Alene,
reports that EFI continues to offer the “Take Charge” program, an
epilepsy presentation for junior and senior high students. The
sessions are designed to demystify epilepsy. Students learn basic
information about epilepsy, first aid procedures, and the social
implications of seizure disorders. Kim will be available for
presentations starting early January 2007. She can bring the
program to any school in north Idaho.
EFI & Ironman
EFI will once again have an aid station at the 2007 Coeur d’Alene
Ironman in June 2007. Anyone willing to volunteer can contact
Kim at the EFI office, (208) 765-9443
Phantom Mother’s Day Tea
This very successful fundraising event is scheduled once again for
May, 2007. Check with Kim to find out how easy it is to send out “invitations” to friends and neighbors alike. All proceeds benefit
the Foundation.
Shining Stars Picnic
This past Shining Stars Picnic was a great success. As a result, the
north Idaho EFI office under the direction of Kim Huender, hopes
to bring kids with epilepsy together about four times a year to do
another event and make connections. Call Kim if you would like to
participate.
