Boise, ID – The Epilepsy Foundation of Idaho has reopened the north Idaho office effective October 15, 2009. Lisa Gardom, Epilepsy Services Specialist, will staff the office Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Lisa was educated at Brigham Young University where she received a Recreational Therapy degree. She has worked with the Special Olympics, served those with disabilities in a variety of settings, and has spent the last few years raising her family. She and her husband have three active elementary aged children who they adore. She is very excited to be working with the Epilepsy Foundation of Idaho and to reopen the North Idaho area to educate, support, and provide epilepsy services locally.
The Epilepsy Foundation provides numerous services to people in Idaho who have epilepsy. These include Camp Spirit Day Camps for children, emergency assistance for antiepileptic medications, epilepsy counseling, employment services, support groups, school programs including Kids on the Block puppets, and for many other needs.
The Epilepsy Foundation of Idaho, established in 1971, is a non-profit agency committed to the prevention and control of epilepsy, and committed to helping people with epilepsy and their families overcome the challenges associated with the disorder. The Epilepsy Foundation of Idaho is an independently incorporated affiliate of the Epilepsy Foundation (EF).
